During this week I did a lot of research of music magazines front covers, contents pages and double spread to influence my music magazine draft and final design. When researching I completed an analysis on each front covers, contents pages and double page spreads that I found influential to my final design. Once I done this I set up a blog page address that is compulsory to my coursework. After that I created my own survey on 'survey monkey' to see what audience will be interested in a new music magazine.
Week beginning 15th January 2013
After my survey was completed by a sample of individuals, i found out from my findings that my magazine audience will be aimed at, young teenage females who are interested in music, music couples and music TV programs. Then I started to draw drafts of my magazines front cover, double page spread and contents page just to give me an idea of what looks good for my final draft. Once i completed all my drafts I took pictures of them and uploaded them onto blogger. During the end of the week I started to take pictures for magazine so I was organised when coming to create my final piece. With these images I uploaded them onto blog just to show evidence of test shots.
Week beginning 21st January 2013
This week i decided to create my final magazine front cover on photo shop, I used my drafts and my survey analysis to give me a brief idea of what my target audience will enjoy when it comes to a magazine front cover. Therefore I used specific font, colour, language and images. Although the week I was completing this front cover to a high standard and I finally did! Towards the end of the week I had some time to start my content page on photo shop, before I started of photo shop I analysed my research, draft and survey to make sure the layout was effective and house style.
Week beginning 28th January 2013
During the beginning of this week I started my contents page on photo shop. I was very determined to complete this fast so I had to time to finish my double page spread and evaluation, so therefore during my media lessons, frees and after school I aimed to finish my contents page to the best of my ability, which I finally done by the 1st February 2013.
Week beginning 4th February 2013
During this week I decided to start on my double page spread on photo shop, however before I started I took some new photos of the band 'one way' who are the main feature of my magazine double page spread as well as the rest of my magazine, my photos looked very professional as I used a professional camera and got the pretend band mates to wear clothing that my target audience would like to look at and which would attract them to read and view the magazine. by the end of this week my magazine double page spread was complete to a high standard.
Week beginning the 11th February 2013
During this week I successfully completed my magazine final pieces on photo shop. As I have done this I asked my teacher if there was any more improvements i needed to make to my magazine, and she lead to be change some photos to more professional ones with a professional camera which will benefit me in the long run towards my final grade hopefully. after this is started to write my evaluation of my magazine, for example I wrote what went well, what went bad, what would i improve next time if I was going to do this again in the future and what new skills did i learn ( how to use photo shop - use of the magic eraser tool on images.)
Week beginning the 18th Februarys 2013
During this week I had little to do as I have completed everything on time, however i did have to upload my final pieces of the magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread on to blogger.
